Joyce was born and raised in Wisconsin. She grew up in a Christian home,

attending a small country church where her mother played either the piano or

organ and her father served in many positions in the church. She accepted Christ

as her Savior while attending Bible camp at the age of 9. This is her 32nd year as a

church secretary, having served 16-l/2 years at Eastside Baptist in Punta Gorda,

and now in her 15th year here at First Baptist. She has also served as treasurer of

the Peace River Baptist Association for 28 years.
