Our Staff

Guest Pastor: Rev. David E. Holt

Guest Pastor David E. Holt graduated with a B.A. from Stetson University, Deland,

FLorida; a B.D. and M.D. from Southern Theological Seminary, Louisville,

Kentucky. During his 43 years of active pastoral ministry, David’s outreach

included both weekly radio and television ministries. David served most of his

ministry as pastor of curches in Florida, retiring after 21 years as founding pastor

of The Worship Center, Plantation, Florida. Since their retirement, he and his wife,

Janet, live in Deep Creek, Port Charlotte.

Church Secretary: Mrs. Joyce Murray

Joyce was born and raised in Wisconsin. She grew up in a Christian home,

attending a small country church where her mother played either the piano or

organ and her father served in many positions in the church. She accepted Christ

as her Savior while attending Bible camp at the age of 9. This is her 30th year as a

church secretary, having served 16-l/2 years at Eastside Baptist in Punta Gorda,

and now in her 14th year here at First Baptist. She has also served as treasurer of

the Peace River Baptist Association for 25 years.
