Just a Thought...

I know that you will all agree that our children are very dear,
And the things we need to do for them are really quite clear.
First of all we want each one of them to know
The Plan of Salvation and the way that they should grow.
But we also need to fill their time with laughter and with fun-
A playground with swings and things with a safe place to run.
Our Women on Mission have decided to take the dare
To prove to our children that we really care.
There is already a sum designated for a children’s playground
But at least $10,000 more for this project must be found.
So instead of a Christmas present maybe you’ll decide
To donate that money to the fund and feel that inner pride.
You’ll be helping our young ones to grow in faith and to see
They’re loved and appreciated by all of us - both you and me.

The Horn of Plenty (HoP) will be serving Thanksgiving dinner to those we serve in the HoP and to our church brethren on November 27 at 2:00pm. Signup sheets are at the church welcome center and in the Horn of Plenty office. In order to know how much food will be required, Sunday, November 14 will be the last day to signup. We look forward to seeing you!

A challenge has been issued from a member of our church who wishes to remain anonymous. A donation has been promised of $5,000.00 to our Building Fund with this stipulation: that a matching amount be made to First Baptist Church, again to the Building Fund. Any Takers??

Our Building Fund offerings have not met the mortgage payments so far this year. Please be in prayer for our Building Fund offerings. Your Stewardship Committee will be addressing this issue in the coming weeks. Pray that God will provide an answer for our church.
